Currently, Meijer is looking for a Produce Team Leader. The individual selected for this position will be responsible for planning, directing and supervising team members in the day to day operations of the Produce area. Delivering exceptional customer service by managing the day to day ordering, receiving, stocking and displaying of produce and related products to maximize profits. Maintaining department cleanliness and adheres to all food safety processes. Key responsibilities include: Attaining P&L budgeted goals, achieving sales, labor and margin plans for the department Reviewing sales goals, supply costs, stockloss/shrink results and goals Modeling exceptional, fast and friendly customer service Reviewing Customer Survey and customer feedback from previous day or week Communicating the Meijer Friendly Initiative in all team meetings and conversations Preparing, packaging, stocking store and display merchandise appropriately Price change compliance Food safety compliance in Produce Ordering of manual ordered items Maintaining balance on hand integrity for items on Manugistics Supervising, training and managing the Produce Team to: o Stock (including washing, bundling and trimming) rotating, and merchandise facing products according to department procedure o Dispose culls according to department procedures o Ensure all inferior out of code products are not sold and removed from display o Ensure all products are accurately priced and sales prices are maintained and up to date o Ensure team members sweep the Produce Department floor as needed but at least every 30 minutes completing the scheduling and produce sweep log o Provide consultation to customers about all aspects of produce o Execute ad set compliance including signage o Ensure the backroom is neat and organized o Meet or exceed sales floor conditions expectations in Produce Ensuring the Produce Team is properly hired, staffed and thoroughly trained in all aspect of their jobs and have completed all required training Promoting succession planning by providing career paths and identifying development needs for the Produce Team Promoting a safe work environment Reliable and consistent attendance required Other daily tasks as required High school diploma or its equivalent required Minimum 2-3 years of related retail experience Minimum 1 year of management experience Demonstrated ability to communicate to team members in the organization in a way that provides clear and precise direction Demonstrated ability to resolve conflict and by addressing root cause issues Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks Demonstrated ability to analyze financial and statistical information and use that information to make informed decisions Demonstrated ability to consult with customers on all areas pertaining to produce Demonstrated ability to lead an organization that practices working safely at all times Demonstrated ability to mentor team members in all areas of the organization including SDITs, team members in hourly positions and team leaders ServSafe Certification Job: Retail Title: NEW STORE - Grafton, WI - Produce Team Leader Location: WI-Grafton Requisition ID: 1500006043Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
